Kia ora everyone,
I had the pleasure of being part of the Excellence in Foster Care Awards a couple of weeks ago. Congratulations to Shirley Afoa from Auckland. What a wonderful role model to her community and all the tamariki / children that have been in her care. It was fantastic to see her support people surrounding her for this grand occasion.

Wilding Books
If you don’t know about Wildling books, jump online and have a look. They have some lovely books that our tamariki (children) who have had many challenges, can find comfort in, along with some good little strategies.

Training
What’s Behind the Behaviour – Healing Centred Engagement is open for registrations! This newly developed training explores the importance of emotional connection with children. The idea is to parent in a way that meets the behavioural, developmental, and therapeutic needs of the child. This DDP informed workshop has an emphasis on ‘connection with correction’ to provide a secure and safe base for the child.
Please check out our training calendar below to see details of upcoming courses.
