Kia ora to you all,

As another month rolls on, I hope everyone is keeping warm, happy, well, and you all survived another school holiday time. Over the last few days, I have been reflecting on my time with Caring Families Aotearoa so far, and again want to acknowledge the hard work, time, and effort you all give to the children in your care. I have had the chance to meet a few more lovely caregivers and feel privileged to hear your stories and the reality you live.

Remember our role is to support you, and groups are a great way share your thoughts, dreams, and ideas, and support each other (through those daily struggles that only us as caregivers understand) in a safe environment. I am happy to talk more with how that looks for you.

Sometimes it can feel a bit lonely as a caregiver, working from home with little or no communication from other adults. Another great way to connect with other caregivers is for you to be a part of our Facebook whānau. This is a closed Facebook group open only to caregivers that are members of Caring Families Aotearoa and provides a safe forum for caregivers to connect, share experiences, seek advice, tips, or even recipes.
