Kia ora koutou,
We are now in week four of the final school term, and yes, I am saying it again “time is flying”. I am looking forward to the nice summer weather and visits to the beach with my tamariki. We have been lucky with some awesome weather in the last couple of weeks so if that’s an indication of what we will be getting I’m looking forward to it.
I want to share something that has kept coming up in different situations throughout the month and that is as caregivers we often are very busy with life and providing for those we love and care about that we often forget about ourselves.

I want to remind you all to try to have some YOU time, whether it be reading a book, having a quiet soak in the bath, or spending time with friends. Remember to take care of yourself, you can’t pour from an empty cup!
I also want to share with you a lovely comment I received from a caregiver following our recent caregiver catch up in Tauranga – “Thank you for inviting us to this pizzas at Memorial Park day. My boy sometimes struggles to mix with others but today he fitted in really nicely so I will be registering for the Ten Pin Family Fun Day as the boys he has been playing with will be attending! How awesome is that 😊 Thank you to all the caregivers that come to these as we don’t often know what impact it has on others, highlight of the month for me!!!”
