Kia ora e hoa mā,
There’s been a lot of highlights over the last month or two for me:
- I enjoyed a relaxing wander on Browns Bay Beach with our North Shore caregivers
- the Picking up the PACE Conference was a wonderful opportunity to listen to many inspiring speakers
- we managed to secure $1,232.00 locally from the Good in the Hood fundraising campaign – special thanks goes to the lovely team at Z-Quay Street for their support of the work Caring Families Aotearoa does across Auckland; and
- I had the treat of joining the L’oreal for Youth camp for rangatahi, to present to the out-of-town caregivers.

Waitākere Caregiver Catch up
Friday 6 December, 10am at Cafe Kōrero, Rānui Community Centre (474 Swanson Road). Come along to meet other caregivers in your local area – this is a new group so if you would like to share your ideas on what you’d like to see out west for caregiver groups, we’d love to see you there.
Indications of Interest
Are you a caregiver AND an agency social worker? We are exploring possibilities for having an online forum for any caregiver members, who also work as a social worker with Oranga Tamariki or another support agency, and who would like to connect with other caregivers for peer support. If this might be you, please email Samantha Lenik to indicate your interest in being kept in the loop with any updates for this group: samanthal@caringfamilies.org.nz
Closed Facebook Group for Auckland Caregiver Members
