December Self-Care

What are you doing this busy season to look after yourself?

Here are some simple ideas, that don’t take up too much time, but can make all the difference to your wellbeing when the days become frantic!

🎄Buy yourself a Christmas gift.

🎄Indulge in a manicure, pedicure or massage. This can also mean putting the time aside at home and giving yourself a manicure/pedicure.

🎄Plan a cuppa with a friend. Pick just one person whose company lifts you up.

🎄Spend time outside – make a takeaway drink and go for a walk in the evening. Are there Christmas lights in your neighbourhood to enjoy along the way?

🎄Run yourself a bath, light a scented candle and relax.

🎄Try a new exercise – find a friend and try a yoga or Pilates class! There are some great FREE apps too!

🎄Have a lie down. Even if it’s just for 20 minutes. If you don’t fall asleep, just resting your eyes can be peaceful and rejuvenating.

Stay true to yourself by blocking out some time on your diary/calendar for self-care, just as you would for a medical appointment.

Enjoy the boost to your wellbeing! Remember, investing in self-care allows you to provide the best care for your tamariki.
