A Gift for the Music Lover

As you may already be aware, Caring Families Aotearoa, has a close relationship with former Carterton MP and Defense Minister, Ron Mark. Having grown up in care himself, Ron has a very personal connection to the fostercare community.

Ron has always been a music lover and quite a talented musician. It was a lifetime dream of his to record an album. Being too shy to sing in public, Ron’s friends and family gave him loads of encouragement and reassurance and he finally fulfilled that dream.

“This album is dedicated to my grandchildren, the thousands of foster kids in care all over New Zealand and their wonderful foster parents and caregivers who have found space in their hearts to take them in and provide them with safe and loving homes.”

The album “Never Give Up” includes Ron’s covers of well-known songs by Elvis Presley, Don Williams, Jimmy Buffet and Eric Church, among others.

We have 10 signed copies of Ron’s CD available for $25 each. Ron kindly donated the CDs to us, therefore 100% of the proceeds from the sale of the CD will go towards helping foster and whānau caregivers to perform their vital role in our community.
