Ngā mihi mahana ki a koutou katoa / Warm greetings to you all,
The last few weeks have been memorable for so many reasons. While nationally we’re experiencing the same lockdown/rāhui, each household experiences very personal variations. Your own unique ‘blend’ of personalities, histories, family dynamics, academic and emotional needs, health conditions….and coping skills. We didn’t get to practise this – and we didn’t go in with an answer sheet! What we do know is we have adapted to the best of our ability, learned something about the other big or little humans in our home, and learned something about ourselves. Replay the positive moments regularly and use the challenging moments as steppingstones as we continue to put one foot in front of the other. And know, that as a community of carers, we are cheering you on.
