December 2024 Central North Caregiver News

Kia ora koutou,

Well, what a year it has been!  December already, where has the year gone?  This year has brought about both challenges and successes and upon reflection I am pleased to say through all the ups and downs we made it through another year.

Over the last almost four years I have had the privilege of getting to know some amazing caregivers throughout the Central North region.  For some of us, we have had our fair share of challenges, remember each and every one of you are very special people who open your homes and hearts to tamariki in need of care and protection.  I want to acknowledge you all for what you do!

From January 2025 I will be relocating to Auckland with my whānau and will be the new Auckland and Upper North Regional Coordinator.  So myself and our regional committee would like to invite you to join in a lunch to celebrate our success and for me to have the opportunity to thank you all and acknowledge you face to face. (Read below for more inofrmation.)

If I don’t get the opportunity to see you before the move, know that it has been an honour to have established the amazing connections and walking alongside of you in your caregiving journey.  Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Our National Office will be closed from Friday 20th of December and reopen on Monday 13th January. If you experience an urgent matter during this time involving allegations, please call 0800 693 278.  My last day of work for 2024 will be Thursday 19 December.
