Foster Care Awareness Week
Foster Care Awareness Week is an annual celebration held every March. It’s a special week that is all about celebrating YOU; our wonderful caregiver members who put in the mahi every day to care for some of Aotearoa’s most vulnerable children.
In 2025, Foster Care Awareness Week extended into a month of celebrations! We hosted 17 special events to show our appreciation for caregivers, including appreciation morning teas, dessert evenings, Keeping Memories (Life Story books) sessions and whānau get togethers in the park.

Feedback from our Caregivers
Thank you so much for an awesome night last night. I had a wonderful time and I’m very grateful for how much you spoilt us 🥰
It was good to meet up with lots of familiar faces (and some new ones). I wasn’t expecting the shout at Black & White Cafe, so very generous too!
