Face Your Future 2023
From 27-28 September 2023, we held a fantastic Face your Future event in Tāmaki Makaurau (Auckland). It was a busy, but fun two days for rangatahi in care, hosted by our corporate partner L’Oréal with support from VOYCE Whakarongo Mai and Caring Families Aotearoa.
This year it looked a little different, with caregivers from out of Auckland also accompanying their rangatahi on the camp. These caregivers and all rangatahi were treated to two days of pampering, workshops and speakers, connection, goodie bags, and of course, lots of wonderful kai!
It was heartwarming to see the rangatahi create new friendships and learn more about themselves. As one caregiver put it: “It’s an absolutely fabulous way to celebrate the wonderful kids and rockstar carers, and a chance for both to meet new people who share common attributes and build lifelong connections/support.”
