Kia ora ,

This month we celebrate Mother’s Day and I sincerely hope all you wonderful mothers are treated to the day off and special time with whānau. As I reflect on what Mother’s Day means for me, I realise how blessed I am to be celebrating the day with four generations of mothers. My mother is an incredible lady who has always been a determined (some might say stubborn), hardworking and strong woman.

As I look to the generations that follow, I see this in us all, right through to my daughter and granddaughter who are hardworking, strong women, and we owe this to my mum. So, I think it is timely for all of us to remember the incredibly important role of motherhood and the influence we have on our children.

Personally, watching not only our children but also our foster children grow into loving, dedicated parents is incredibly satisfying. I encourage all of you amazing, caring mums out there, to stop and take the time to celebrate yourself and your part in influencing your families’ generations of mothers, and the many whose lives you have touched. Have the most amazing day and THANK YOU.

Noho ora mai (stay well),
Linda
