Kia ora everyone,
You’ll have noticed it’s lighter in the mornings and it’s getting darker later in the evenings. Yes, Spring is upon us. I hope you’re managing to get your tamariki (children) to bed with the changes. Daylight Savings bring! It can be a tough time for all of our bodies to adjust.
Daylight saving has its positives and negatives. I love the hope that comes with kōanga (Spring) and the chance to return to nature – hono ki te taiao. My whānau and I are looking forward to more outside time and getting motivated to head into the garden and see the lovely colours of spring all around us.
I do hope over the school holidays and beyond you can find some time to nurture some personal seedlings of your own and find joy in spring moments around you – sometimes, that is all we can do in lieu of a bigger or better break, and it can be in these small moments of peace and solitude that our fractious nerves can be soothed.

Keeping PACE – National Conference
I would like to give a huge shout out to the Caring Families Aotearoa crew that organised our national conference in Lower Hutt recently. It’s been the first conference of Caregivers and professionals gathering together since 2019.
It was lovely to see familiar faces and meet new people all focused on how we can be the change maker in the lives of our tamariki. Understanding what’s behind the behaviour and recognising us, as Caregivers, our state of being, in the relationship.
There were some fantastic speakers who helped us as Caregivers, relax, reflect, learn and give hope for change and healing.
The evening gala was fun and an enjoyable time for us all to be together.
