Ngā mihi ngakau nui ki ngā whānau o Te Tai Tokerau/Heartfelt acknowledgements to Northland families
Especially to those of you worst affected by the recent extreme weather events. Anxieties for our Mokopuna are high at the best of times, and we are worried they worry with us. Go gently everyone and reach out when you can. Our thoughts are with you all.

EVENTS
Children’s Day
In Whangārei we have Te Rā o ngā Tamariki (Children’s Day), after two ‘no-go’ years, (weather permitting), so mark your calendar for Sunday 5th March. Free buses will get you to and from the new ground and facilities in Tikipunga, 104 Cork’s Road, Te Ora Hōu. There will be free food and lots of fun to celebrate our children.
See you there. With my new orange Caring Families Aotearoa gazebo and lots of giant bubbles! For those caregivers who come and make themselves known to me, I’ll have a selection of L’Oréal products for you to choose from.
Foster Care Awareness Week 6-12th March
Molly and I will run a special Foster Care Awareness Week Coffee Group in Whangarei on Monday 6 March at McDonalds from 10.30am-12.00pm. A chance to get together, share stories, the highlights and the hurdles, and celebrate all the great mahi that you do, coffee and muffin on us! Please RSVP to me with the names of those who will be attending – uppernorth@caringfamilies.org.nz.
During Foster Care Awareness Week, to give you some extra pampering, if you join our private Facebook Group I’ll have some ‘one off’ L’Oréal products to give away.
