Ngā mihi mahana ki a koutou e Mātua Atawhai/Warm greetings to all you Kind Caregivers

The months have sped by, and we are looking year’s end in the face!  I’m excited about coming into summer weather as this winter has felt longer and colder than usual…yes, it’s probably my age😉Dennis and I still have the wood fire going most nights!!!

The best thing about winter has been our extended watercress season, we’ve been blessed to give lots away, sharing the love!

SUPPORT

October has been a great month to connect with some of you through groups and trainings. My personal highlight has been the support groups at the Art Gallery and McDonald’s in Whangārei..awesome kōrero, open and engaged with each other as we’ve shared our highs and hurdles!  Ngā mihi nui ki a Karen raua ko Molly mo te tautoko. Big acknowledgement to Molly and Karen for their support.

Conference Reflection

I’ve asked Molly and Karen (Regional Committee Members), to share their reflections about Conference next month, but here are some of my whakaaro/thoughts:

Dancing and laughter with colleagues and friends were stand out…the spring decorations and outfits were delightful!  Something completely different was just what my soul needed.  The two speakers that left a lasting impression were Māhera Maihi (Māhera’s story) and Tuihana Ohia (Woo Wellbeing)…both inspired me to take greater care of myself as I look for ways to help others who have less than me.
