My husband and I were privileged to see Rosh Hashanah (Jewish New Year) celebrations in full swing at the Fat Camel in Whangārei recently. It’s a time for feasting, prayer, and celebrations. It was lovely to be reminded of times of celebrations and contemplation, especially after the year we’ve all been experiencing.
Being intentional about finding joy and reasons to celebrate is so important when you have tamariki (children) with high needs in your households and the stressors that come with being their caregiver. If that’s you then please take some time this week/month for yourself and celebrate your resilience and dedication.

Training
It’s been great getting feedback from the ‘Legal Information for Caregivers’ workshop that I recently delivered. Caregivers have found it both positive and empowering. Attendees were happy to have a better understanding of the need for law, policy, and practice changes in the care and protection process.
The Term Four Training Calendar is now live! I look forward to seeing you at one of our upcoming workshops.
