Kia ora koutou/ Hi everyone
What a busy winter we are having. I hope that everyone enjoyed our first Matariki holiday weekend in Aotearoa. There were a lot of lovely celebrations and events and I hope you were able to attend one or two. I really enjoyed our movie nights and thank all of you who were able to attend with your tamariki. Sometimes it is hard to know how our children will cope with something that is outside of our normal routine, even though we see it as a treat. I have to commend all of you and your tamariki, who looked like they enjoyed every minute and every last kernal of popcorn! I think it was a relaxing way to enjoy family time and if this is something that you would like again then please let me know.

Training
This coming term Caring Families Aotearoa will be introducing a new training workshop, available online, called Family Dynamics – ‘Torn Loyalties’ Conflicts for Children in Care. We’ll be exploring the range of emotions and possible tensions experienced by tamariki (children) coming into a care family and how together with their caregiver/s they can navigate their connection with their biological family and any challenges that come with this experience. Click below for more information or to register.
Our Ako Ngātahi/Learning Together monthly online series is continuing, with this month’s focus on Behavioural Support. Click below for more information or to register.
