On Friday 16 October, we held our 2020 Annual General Meeting in Lower Hutt. This year we also made the AGM available virtually and had members join us from all around Aotearoa.
The AGM was opened by Hera Clarke (Poutaki Māori), followed by Colin Hardgrave who presented the Chairperson’s Report on behalf of John Dickson. Linda Surtees (Chief Executive) then presented Caring Families Aotearoa’s highlights from the year (there were many!). To read our highlights, read our 2020 Annual Report by clicking the picture to the left.
We closed off our AGM with a well-received presentation from Rob Surtees (Therapist) and Sally Moffat (Programme Manager). They presented the “Shield Against Shame”, which explained the defenses that children develop as a way of keeping themselves safe. If you are interested in hearing this presentation, please call Sally on 0800 693 323.
